Can my fiancé(e) and I get married at St. John the Divine?
Yes, as long as:
1) one of you is a baptized Christian (not necessarily in the Anglican Church)
2) you give 60 days notice
3) you are prepared to undertake marriage preparation
What if my fiancé(e) and/or I have been married before?
The Anglican Church does permit the re-marriage of divorced persons. You must be able to show your divorce certificate(s). Please be prepared to have a conversation with our priest about why your first marriage failed and why you expect that your upcoming marriage will be lifelong.
